Frequently Asked Questions

We all have some questions, am I right?

When do I need to RSVP by?

We want everyone that we have invited to join us at our wedding and to help us celebrate, but we do know that this can be quite the journey for some of our mainland guests and takes some planning to orchestrate something like a trip to Hawai’i. However, we ask that everyone RSVP’s for the wedding by September 15th, 2024 as to allow ample time for us to adjust any counts for our vendors to make sure we can accommodate everyone that plans to come. Any RSVP’s received after July 1st, 2024 will unfortunately not be counted and will be counted as a “No” for your reservation. All RSVP’s can be done on this website under the “RSVP” tab.

What time should I arrive at the Venue?

We ask that all guest arrive between 4:30-4:45 p.m. as we will begin the ceremony exactly at 5:00.

What happens if I arrive after 5:00?

We do want you at our ceremony, but we understand that things don’t always go to plan. Unfortunately, we will not be allowing in any guests after 5:00 as to not interrupt the happy couple during this momentous occasion. We will, however, allow access again after the ceremony so that you can still spend time with us on our big day!

What is the parking situation?

Parking and security is provided by Paradise Cove to ensure your vehicle is safe while we party! There is only a certain amount of spots at the venue and we don’t want to have you walking around in your beautiful dress attire, so please consider carpooling.

Are there any plus ones?

We know that Hawai’i is a beautiful place and we want you to be able to share it with the ones you love, however, we are not able to accommodate everyone at our ceremony and reception. You are more then welcome to make it into a vacation for your family, but we are only allowing plus ones if and only if they are listed on your invitation. We would love to see everyone that you bring outside of the wedding if it fits into both yours and our itineraries.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, there will be alcohol present at our wedding as we all like to have a good time! However, we do want to remember our special day so we ask that we don’t feed us shots every chance you get. With that said, we would like to remind you that this is an amazing celebration of us starting our lives together so we want to make sure everyone also makes it to the wedding and back home (or to any accommodations) back safely. If you do plan to drink, be prepared with a back up plan or a designated driver.

What should I wear?

We ask that you wear your best aloha or dress attire because you WILL BE ON CAMERA and we want you looking your best! Gentlemen, you do not have to dress in black tie and we hope you don’t because it is Hawai’i and it does get humid! Aloha shirt and slacks are fine, but we do ask for no jeans as this is a formal event. Ladies, you are welcome to wear a beautiful dress or whatever suits you, we do again ask for no jeans and recommend not wearing any stilettoes or pointed heels as the venue is a field and the grass can be soft. Wedges or slippers are fine. For those who do not identify, we ask that you stick to either guidelines you are most comfortable with, or if you have any questions please contact us and we’ll be happy to clear any confusion.

What about accommodations?

For our out-of-state visitors and even for our in-state guests, we understand you’ll need a place to stay during your time in our beautiful islands. There are a couple of resorts that are right at Ko Olina such as the Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina, Aulani (a Disney Resort and Spa), Beach Villas at Ko Olina, and Marriot’s Ko Olina Beach Club. However, we do understand that these places can come with a pretty hefty price tag. There are quite a few AirBNB and VRBO rentals as well as hotels near us as well that may better suit your trip and price range, although they might be little longer of a drive to the venue. Please see the “Travel & Stay” tab for our recommendations.

Am I able to take a video/picture during the ceremony?

We understand that you would like to have your own video of our wedding and we appreciate your enthusiasm with wanting to capture this moment, but we are asking that there be no videos or pictures taken throughout the ceremony. We have a professional photographer that will capture this beautiful moment for everyone as well as having our own video setup for the ceremony, We ask that you enjoy this moment with us by keeping your phone on silent and in your pocket or purse while we tie the knot! After the ceremony, however, we highly encourage you to take as many photos as your heart desires, we will have a shared photo album that you can contribute your best pictures to!

What if I don’t know what to get as a wedding present?

We appreciate your thoughtfulness in helping us begin this journey together. If you need help with trying to find that perfect gift, we have our registry attached below to help guide your choice. If it just so happens that the registry has all been swooped up or you need a great last minute gift (which we get because we’re procrastinators, too), you are welcome to bring a check or cash to the reception itself, we also accept Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Cash, or you can help us in contributing to our funds that will all be linked on our registry page.
